With a dream of a simpler life, I started Blumei studio at the end of 2023. I have always wanted to start my own business and when I bought my first sewing machine in 2022, I knew right away that sewing was what I would work with.

In hindsight, life has certainly not become easier, but it has become a little more enjoyable. I love working with my own company and being creative during working hours and, above all, having a job that I love. Right now, I combine my own with a job, which suits me perfectly at the moment, even though in the future I dream of being able to give more time to the company.

All products on the website are designed and sewn by me in my home studio in Nykvarn. Behind each product lies a lot of time and love and I hope that is noticeable.

I love recycling, second hand and vintage and therefore I sew my products in fabrics bought second hand as often as I can. New fabrics are also used in the production but then natural materials such as cotton and linen. I see my production a bit as a cycle and therefore I have developed many products specifically to make use of waste pieces. Examples of these products are lavender bags and key rings.
